CELL PHONE SERVICE AFFECTED
A contract for $237,047 was awarded to Tank Pro Inc. of Northpoint Al. to re-paint the city's 300,000 gallon water tank located on Section St. about 3 miles south of town.
Cell phone service in the Barnwell area will be restricted since antennas on top will have to be removed. A temporary tower has been erected nearby.
The city currently has four water tanks, at various locations around town.
The project should be completed within 4 months.
