Bluff Drainage Repairs Underway

DUCK POND BLUFF EROSION

A new drainage system is being constructed to prevent further erosion and runoff of storm water from Bayview St. and red clay onto the duck pond area.

New drainage pipes, cement boxes and a catch basin will divert rainwater from above northward around the duck ponds, safely out into the bay.

The eroded part of the bluff is to be filled in and terraced.

A significant portion of the bluff gave way last summer after heavy rains, causing red clay to cover the park below (click).
