DELI DEPOT AND PT. CLEAR SCHOOL

Two more buildings burned last week during the frigid weather.

The back storage room of the Deli Depot gas station on Greeno Rd. was severely damaged and the abandoned Pt. Clear school on Hwy 32 was gutted.

The Deli Depot is owned by Twin Oaks Co. Inc. and the school by the Jack and Mary Lee Spinks Family Partnership, LP (Texas).

Causes are still under investigation.

Neighborhood Kids have been known to start campfires in that building ...
Very sad that the very the Point Clear school burnt down. It was had very interesting historic architecture and I had hoped that one time it would get a new destination. Now it is most probably lost for ever.
