House Fire on Dairy Road

Fairhope, Alabama

The Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire on Dairy Rd. south of town Wednesday.

According to WABF radio: "The fire was engulfing the kitchen and surrounding area of the 6,000 square foot home when they arrived, followed by Barnwell and Daphne Fire departments assisting. Firefighters worked in the rain and managed to salvage some keepsakes and photographs from the home, and Ellis praised the crews for doing an "outstanding job". The home is considered to be a total loss, due to fire, smoke and water damage. No one was home at the time, and no one was injured. Ellis says the residents plan to rebuild their home."

We don't stay at the station. We have to get up drive to a station, wait for enough people to take a truck, then drive to the scene and get work started. It started from lightning hitting the roof then spread through insulation. We can usually get a truck on its way in about 1-2 minutes. If you could do better why don't you fill out an application.
