Airport Aviation School Won't Be Ready For Fall Term

Fairhope, Alabama

Fairhope Aviation Academy

According to Baldwin County School superintendent Alan Lee, construction of the aviation-oriented vocational school at the airport will not be completed in time for the Fall school term (Aug 18th); some classes may be held at the Faulkner State College campus instead.

Numerous weather-related delays have hampered construction (rain, freezing temperatures).

The $2.5 million Academy is a joint project of Faulkner and Enterprise State Colleges, the Baldwin County Board of Education, and the Fairhope Airport Authority.
