AIR RACE CLASSIC RESULTS
The Carbondale, Illinois-based 'Saluki Aces' team of Stephanie Armstrong and Jessica Reed are the winners of the 2015 Air Race Classic -- with elapsed time of 17 hours, 26 minutes with no assessed penalties during the 'handicapped' race.
They also won the collegiate classification, representing Southern Illinois University
They flew a Cessna Skyhawk 172P over the 2,199 miles averaging 126 knots.
The awards banquet was held at the civic center last night.
