Fire Destroys Morphy Ave. Mobile Home

Fairhope, Alabama.

WOOD RIDGE TRAILER PARK

A fire last week destroyed a mobile home in the Wood Ridge Mobile Home park at 9104 Morphy Ave. just east of CR13.

The six FVFD units responding, aided by two from Daphne, found the west side of the trailer "engulfed by flame and smoke" ... but quickly brought it under control via an "aggressive interior attack."

The Times has not yet determined if the trailer was leased or vacant -- or if there were injuries; the cause of the fire has not been released either.

Behind a tall wooden fence on the south side of Morphy, the park appears to be in a severely run-down condition: almost slum-like -- and  the private road is cratered with pot holes.

County records show 'Eleven Forty LLc. as the current owner of the property (on land leased from the FSTC) -- with a Montrose post office box: it is apparently a realty/leasing business.
