The Page and Palette book store at 32 S. Section St. is converting former art-supply space facing De Le Mar St. to be suitable for events like book-signings -- including a wet bar.

Karin Wilson, President of the P and P corporation was granted an alcoholic beverage license by the city council at its last meeting.

No opening date was mentioned.

Doesn't the city have some kind of ordinance about sidewalk obstructions? They have tables lined up right up and down the sidewalks with very little passage way. Some of them actually block the whole sidewalk.

Yes. Special permission was granted by the city council about 5 years ago.
