'MYSTIC MUTTS' ANNUAL PARADE





The Mystic Mutts of Revelry society paraded through downtown Fairhope to raise money for 'The Haven' -- a no-kill animal shelter.


"The Mystic Mutts of Revelry, presented by McSharry's Irish Pub, will be held in Fairhope on Saturday, February 18, 2017! Presented by McSharry's Irish Pub, this event will feature two-legged and furry four-legged "mutts" who will be ready to strut their stuff in this football-themed fundraiser to benefit the no-kill, non-profit animal shelter.  
The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. from the Fairhoper’s Community Park located on the corner of S. Church Street and Morphy Avenue. Walkers can pre-register online or register at the hospitality tent on parade day. Pre-registration and same day registration will be the same fee.
Registration on parade day ($10 per well-behaved, leashed and currently vaccinated dog and $10 per human escort age 6 years or older) will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All proceeds help The Haven continue their life-saving programs and services."

The trash in the parks is from the adults, not the kids……drive through the 'private beach' area for Fairhope residents. It is full of NON-RESIDENTS and large groups leaving garbage everywhere. Non Residents are supposed to pay for access to help defray the cost of cleaning up but the city never has anyone in the booth to collect funds. Additionally, dogs are not allowed……even Fairhope dogs. But I see dogs there constantly and no one is cleaning up after them either. Fairhope better quit worrying about the flowers and start patrolling the beaches. I am fed up with the priorities of Fairhope's government! I thought that things would improve after Kant left, but they seem to be getting even worse.

Would love to see a detailed accounting of what the Haven does with the money raised from this event.
Not a smoke and mirrors explanation.

They are sitting on a ton of money and getting an annual stipend from the city.

Do you follow people on the beach with dogs? Perhaps it is some of the unresponsible pet owners of which their dogs get lost and the haven has to get them to safety and find the owners. Fairhope people have to _____ about everything.

I have seen human poop on the trail by a tree in volanta. I have seen condoms (used) in all of the parks while walking my dog. Nasty nasty nasty. Tampons too
