For those who have been asking, here is the timeline for the upcoming municipal election.
Register to vote at the county courthouse.
Those interested in seeking office need to be registered voters 18 years of age living within city limits 90 days prior to the election ... and to pay the $50 qualifying fee to the city clerk by July 21st.
Be sure to fill out appropriate campaign finance reports and economic interest statements with the Secretary of State too.
