Final Election Candidate Forum Held

MUNICIPAL ELECTION TUESDAY

All of the candidates for mayor (except Sullivan) and for open council seats in Tuesday's election participated in the final debate/forum in the council chamber tonight.

Topics ranged from repairing the relationship between mayor/council, managing rapid growth, campaign donations received from developers, maintaining Mobile Bay water quality,  et. al.

Why didn't Sherry Sullivan participate? I thought that this had been scheduled for more than a week.

My problem with Wilson is less Liberal vs Conservative than her behavior. She portrays the Council as a five man monolith who are bent on limiting her. She has been the one to pick a fight with the council 90% of the time. Everything good which has been done has been because she fought the evil forces and single handedly stopped them to save the day. Also, her resume is underwhelming despite the spin. How about she could not cut it in banking even though there was a groundswell trying to elevate women in banking and she returned home to run a family business which was already established. That is not bad but neither is it impressive.

I just wished someone would fact check the comments. If you read the reports that are available on ADEM website, most of the SSO never really made it to a body of water. Most of what is calculated as being spilled was cleaned up. My understanding Fairhope is reporting everything like the law says even if 95% was cleaned up.
