Many Golf Course Trees Lost To Storm

Over a hundred trees were lost on the Quail Creek municipal golf course during the storm, according to the city's recreation director.  Nine holes are expected to re-open tomorrow (Friday); the rest as trees are removed.

The clubhouse and other facilities were not damaged.

Heavy tree damage in the adjacent residential neighborhood was reported too.

Thanks for the update. Many beautiful old pines and oaks were lost. The good news is that a lot of invasive water hyacinths were washed out of the lakes.
