Fairhope needs a serious mask mandate now ! Just look a the the people on the streets for this event . I fear a lockdown is coming if things don’t change .

For most of the past 6 months, no one was allowed to enter Publix in Fairhope without a mask. I was there yesterday afternoon and all of the older shoppers were masked (as was I); however, there were at least 15 non-masked shoppers with their non-masked children. I understand that Publix doesn't want to alienate customers, but they should mandate the masks while the state order in in effect. I hate masks more than anyone, but I will follow the law.......otherwise, let's ditch the mandate!

We were there, and it looked like those who wished to be there were there, and a lovely night we all shared.
Those who chose otherwise are here--as usual--carping, scolding.
Your god, Science, tell you that masks work, correct? Then wear yours, and a shield, too, if you wish. That way, you can feel safe regardless of other folks choosing to lead free and sane lives.
As for following the law, Friday's crowd chose Constitutional freedoms over the ad hoc ministrations of feckless politicians who stoke and/or bow before irrational fear.
Clearly, the greatest threat to our nation is not Covid infections, but rather broken spirits.
