Updated: Hurricane Debris To Be Cleared From Creek Too

Fairhope, Alabama

Update (Dec. 14): A dispute has arisen about which federal agency is responsible for this. It may delay cleanup.

Fly Creek

HURRICANE SALLY

Trees that were blown over into Fly Creek by hurricane Sally blocking navigation are about to be removed by contractors; cost will be mostly-covered by the federal NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service), not FEMA as is usually the case with other disaster debris.

The final debris collection pass has begun on city streets as well.

Every elected official has had a pickup on their street. What is your point? This is SOP after a hurricane.
