The city is applying for a state Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant to construct a sidewalk in the median of Fairwood Blvd. from Fairhope Avenue to Section Street; also along the side of Blue Island St. from Fairhope Avenue to Gayfer.
Total length is 1.2 miles; total cost is estimated to be $800K. The city's matching share will be $160K.
