CALLED 'THE RESERVE'
Tree clearing and other site work has begun on The Reserve, a 168 unit senior citizen community on 12.6 acres along the west side Greeno road south of the Volanta Road intersection.
104 units will be independent living, 32 assisted, and 32 memory care; Dominion Senior Housing is the owner operator.
The main building will be the largest building in town when finished according to the city's building official; construction could take about a year.

True statement, and absolutely nothing wrong with that. Our capitalist system allows for folks to work hard, save their money, and someday live in a charming town like Fairhope. It's good to have something to aspire to. Many of us have done that.
If you've driven down Volanta, you'll notice the trees are all cleared. Very sad. This is becoming an asphalt jungle. Yes, it's an old folks home, but you'll have lots of attendants and service personnel. I wonder where the exit points will be and imagine the additional traffic impacts to Greeno and Volanta. Oh well......
This has to be a tongue in cheek comment? Maybe we should subdivide 1/4 parcels and put more homes on them? If we could be selective, I do like the ten year limit idea. Maybe you've reached yours?
