CALLED POLO CROSSING
The city council approved a revised site plan for 'Polo Crossing' at 19690 S. Greeno Road, a five unit commercial project with "restaurants" of some sort at each end, including drive-thru windows. The footprint for the development was relocated from a previous version to preserve several large oak trees on the property.
One condition for approval was that ALDOT must still sign off on the access plan for a shortened right turn "stacking" lane from northbound Greeno, because of interference from Windsor Drive on the south side. The agency was still reviewing the plan, according to planning director Hunter Simmons. Any recommendations it makes will have to be incorporated.
Councilman Martin was the lone no vote because of additional traffic concerns he had with the two drive-thrus and especially left turns out, southbound on busy Greeno Road. (He called it a "cluster.")
A 'Chicken Salad Chick' and some kind of coffee shop have been mentioned as possible tenants on each end.
KHW Properties Llc. is the owner; Element 3 Engineering the project engineer.
