New Fairhope Water Well Coming

Fairhope, Alabama

Update: This site is near the Marlow community, not Barnwell as previously posted.

Marlow water well site.

COMPLETION IN 6 MONTHS

Drilling underway now of an additional water well located at the site of an existing well/storage tank on CR 33 in the Marlow area should eventually bring relief for shortfalls during summer months.

Low bidder was Griner Drilling Services of Spanish Fort at $861K (plus engineering fees for test and production wells). The bid was awarded last November by the city council.

Bigger pipes will have to be installed along CR 33 as well, to bring the water north to where it is most needed.

Mayor Sullivan said the project should be completed in about 6 months.

This will be the city's eleventh well; but one had to be removed from service last year because of contamination (manganese). (CR 32 well at the airport.)

Just stop supplying water to anyone who is not in the city limits and freeze the city limits before it’s to late .

Don't just cut off their water; cut off their air supply, too. Only the City Limits Sneetches have stars upon thars.

More water they sell the more money they make why not charge more for heavy users?

I hope this includes a pump and associated well piping.

The well is not in the city limits, so stop the water from going into Fairhope. Fairhope needs to drill a well by the library.
Your water probably comes from a natural well if you live in a rural region or outside of a large city. In actuality, well water is necessary for 15 million Americans. In several counties in Michigan, the majority of the population obtains their drinking, cleaning, cooking, and bathing water from a well located close to their home. Wells are an excellent option for places without a direct access to a municipal water supply (also known as ground water). But as many advantages as there are to having access to well water, there are just as many drawbacks that, if ignored, can cause the general health of your family to deteriorate.
