Sewer Collection Capacity Expansion Continuing

TO SERVICE NEW EASTSIDE GROWTH

Installation of bigger sewage collection pipes along Fairhope Avenue is continuing to service rapid growth on the east side of town. 

This force main pipe will lead directly to the treatment plant on N. Church Street.

The pipe will extend all the way to the North Hills neighborhood on Hwy 104.

Cost is $1.6 million; contractor A. Long Boring.

Slightly different topic, but something should be done with the unsightly drain on Fairhope beach. If this is a storm water drain laden with heavy metals, it can't be very healthy for swimmers. Why can't they extended out into the bay?
