City Water Systems Being Connected For Emergencies

Sea Cliff Drive water connection.

 

Crews started work on Sea Cliff Drive today to connect the city's water system with that of the city of Daphne's to increase resiliency and provide for water-sharing in times of emergency.

About 500K gallons/day could be shared; cost of the connection is $35K, to be shared by the cities.

Maff is hard . . . 500,000 gpd/24 hrs per day = 20,833 gph. Enough for 5 teenagers to shower.
