EAST SIDE
The massive RDI hangar is nearing completion and site work for the new passenger terminal/ FBO hangar has begun -- as well as an additional fuel farm.
More new hangars and runway/taxiway upgrades are in planning stages too.
The terminal is funded by a $2 million federal grant with matching share from the airport authority; the authority leases ground space for the private hangars.

Alabama Airport Economic Impact Study (commissioned by the Aeronautics Bureau) for the Fairhope Airport:
In 2019 the Fairhope Airport was responsible for $28.8 million in annual economic activity with employment impacts of 278 jobs. By comparison in 2004, the Airport was responsible for $8.14 million in annual economic activity with employment impacts of 79 jobs.
