Time to revisit the fire department needs, and doctors, hospitals, and while we at it the pikes of trash and unsafe sidewalks up and down Greeno!

Another great job by the firemen and woman.

Fire dept is volunteer. So response time is not going to be quick. That should be a concern for the city. With these multi family units going up. Seems to me if the city is going to authorize numerous large apt. structures then it has an obligation to protect the citizens. Being self insured could become an expensive issue. But what do I know, the board must have a plan :)

With all of the growth in Fairhope, we now need a paid Fire Department - not volunteer - the apartments being built, numerous subdivisions, retirement facilities - there is no way a volunteer Fire Department can handle all this - another example of the City Council & Mayor not thinking things out.

We give away old fire engines for free; so, we must be doing just fine.
