City's Parking Deck to be Colorized

Fairhope, Alabama

ARTS ALLEY PROJECT ADDITION

The Arts and Crafts Foundation donated $20K (raised during this year's festival) to stain the city's concrete parking garage the same color as the new restroom facility nearby.

The foundation's logo is to be painted somewhere on the structure as well per the resolution passed by city council.

Logo.

This color.

Super dumb idea , in time the rain will wash off the stain & it will end up in the bay .

Please stay with a muted color. We don’t need to look clownish…

Please put up signs on the street explaining free public parking to tourists?!

A bunch of money to basically make it the same color?! Spend that money on signage so people know free parking exists and not just Hampton Inn parking like the big sign at church street entrance says? Why is no one involved versed in making it what it was supposed to be? More obvious and attractive free public parking to help businesses downtown???

I agree with the above post. Mo one from out of town even knows that the parking area even exists. And Fairhope loves the tourist, just like Gulf Shores.

We do not need any more signs cluttering up town.
