ANNUAL PROJECT

The list of streets to be paved this year is out for biding by contractors.  Streets are rated based on their condition then prioritized for the yearly paving project. 

Lowest bidder gets the contract. Work usually starts in late summer or fall.

This is a drop in the bucket, there are many streets in my neighborhood crumbling or down to gravel. Let’s spend less money on studies and more on infrastructure.

Completely agree with spending more money on infrastructure. Blue Island has been down to gravel for years but never makes the list to be repaved. Embarrassing...
