White Avenue Park Closed For Makeover

Fairhope, Alabama 

 


 

The city's White Avenue Park on Mobile Bay will be closed for about a month for landscaping and parking lot improvements.

The city council awarded low-bidder Blade Construction the contract for improvements to the White Avenue Park on S. Mobile Street, for $119K.

Hope the work crew is able to get in and work there. One neighbor of the park wants the park to be his and he will make it as hard as possible for anyone to work there or use the park. He would try to block the sidewalk that runs along the bluff area there. He knew how to try and get his way.

I'm excited for this to be finished......it's a great location to watch the sun set. I had assumed, for some reason, that it was not open to the public.
