Flowerclock Roundabout Could Open By Labor Day

Fairhope, Alabama thefairhopetimes.blogspot.com

ALREADY PARTIALLY OPENED

As reported here previously the flowerclock roundabout is ahead of schedule -- and may be completed by Labor Day, September 1 (weather permitting).

Some of it has already opened to traffic, while the final southwest segment is being completed by the contractor Asphalt Services.

Current traffic flow.

The whole flower clock thing always seemed like a waste of money but this intersection had become quite dangerous. I've seen a number of accidents there over the years and have almost been involved in a couple. Many visitors thought it was a 4 way. The roundabout will be much more efficient than a traffic light.
