Convenience store coming?

S.  GREENO ROAD

The Times has learned the Circle K Corporation has purchased property on the SE corner of the CR 32/Greeno Road intersection; no specific plans have been mentioned yet though, for a convenience store or anything else.

The property is within still-unzoned county planning district 17, outside of city limits; annexation into the city could sought by the property owner.

We reached out to the company about plans, but never heard back.

Several new housing developments with hundreds of lots are already under construction or planned in the rapidly-growing area south of town.

The Circle K company has over 17 thousand stores word wide, according to their website.

Potential store design.

Ironic the article previous to this one is about The Preservation Society. Do we really need another convenience store?

This is a vacant lot.

The City of Fairhope Historic Preservation Commission (not a Society) is tasked with preserving architecture, not vacant lots. That being said, you can try and influence the County Commission and Planning Commission to limit development and, more effectively, deny rezoning of Rural and Agricultural property to business and residential.
