99 Grand for a plywood dugout? When my kids played, Dads volunteered to build/maintain. Must be a different time…..

concrete block not wood

Whatever. Could be plywood. Probably some masons that could volunteer. It was good enough in the old days. Not the major leagues.

New one is supposed to have a restroom included

Have you been to the Orange Beach High School baseball field it is impressive. It makes all the Fairhope sports facilities look pitiful. I have no idea how they are funded but I have been there to watch some games and the entire Sports Complex are first class.

I agree this is excessive if taxpayers are paying. Perhaps the school/team could have done some fundraisers if they really needed a restroom in the dugout. I'm all for the team but really this is not a must have for a high school team.

My kids are grown, but I'm thrilled to see this, and I'd gladly pay more in taxes to support a true American sport. Of course, soccer benches are much cheaper, and that's a good thing for a third-world commie sport.

Soccer moms and dads, that sounded like an insult. That’s all they have.

You are incorrect on a true “American” sport. Put away the stone tablet. It’s mainly Latin and Asian players now. Try the internet.

That's some logic. I was at Gambino's last night, eating Ital...er...American cuisine with "mainly" American dinner guests. As for trying the Internet, I believe that I am on it, even as I type, but I have mercifully escaped the too common fate of losing one's ability to think critically, leading to the hallmark of our times: inadvertently comical bumptiousness fueled by ignorance.

Huh? Wha...?

Seriously complaining about updating a dugout and facilities that was built in the 1980s, but not complaining about $45,000 for tulips that will be thrown away after a few weeks. A dugout will last for another 30 years.

Correct, ignorance. Thank you for backing my play.
