Repairs of storm drain at the Grand at Bayou Avenue intersection have been completed where a metal drainage pipe had failed causing severe erosion in the Volanta Gully system.
C. Thornton Llc. was the contractor for $399K.
Corrugated metal piping once commonly used was found to corrode after about 50 years, and needs replacing with more-durable concrete.
