BARNWELL AREA

A new well drilled by contractors searching for a new water source for the city did not meet expectations and was filled in; but three others around town did find water. Two of those are expected to be used as production wells according to water department sources.

There could be one more test well drilled on the north side of town as well.

We’re finally getting some decent rain after a dry spell. But during periods of dry weather combined with increased water usage from developments, you have to wonder how the water table is down there.
