EASTERN SHORE TRAIL EXTENSION

A pre-manufactured bridge over Eslava Creek is all that remains to be installed to complete the new multi-use trail extension in the Weeks Bay area.

Contractor McElhenney Construction is extending  the Eastern Shore Walking/Biking Trail along U.S. Hwy 98 east of the Fish River bridge, 1.8 miles to Pleasant View Lane.

Cost is $2.1 million using federal/state transportation grants with local matching funding by the county.

Eventually the trail will extend all the way to Foley.
