After 18 months of construction, the new four story, $40 million tower on Morphy Avenue has been completed and ready for move-in, according to the city’s building official.
The city partnered with the hospital to bury overhead electric lines and install new sidewalks to make way for the building.
The bottom floor is for parking and the second for patient beds; the hospital intends to add a cath lab on the third floor and more beds on the fourth eventually, he said.
A helicopter landing pad is on the roof for transporting patients.
