BEING RELOCATED TO CITY PARK
Three bids have been received so far from moving contractors for the Hermit Hut relocation project according to engineering department sources: one from an Alabama company, one from Florida, and one from Maryland.
Bidding will close on August 11 and the proposals opened shortly thereafter; after review by city staff, the lowest qualified one has to be accepted per state law.
Then the city council will award the contract during an upcoming public meeting; the private donations already received are to be used for the project (if sufficient).
