City Gets Road Paving Grant

REBUILD ALABAMA GAS TAX FUNDS

The city received a $450K state grant to pave bumpy CR 13 from Morphy Avenue to Mosely Road, about 1.25 miles: city's matching share is $100K.

Work begins next year.

Boy, I tell you what, it will take more than a few piddly grants to improve the infrastructure here, Many roads are potholed and local roads are down to gravel. No traffic lights were needed, and no contractors to do the work even when they can pay for it.
I guess they’re hoping those pretty plants on the corners will make us forget about it…..
Answer is obvious- slow things down!

Chamber of Commerce, Realtor associations, insurance salesmen, and bankers in control now. no slowdown possible.
