HURRICANE ISAIAS APPROACHING
The city council met this morning to declare a local state of emergency ahead of approaching hurricane Isaias which is expected to make landfall late tomorrow.
A state of emergency allows for expedited no-bid contracts and for FEMA reimbursement of any damages.
The mayor said the city will probably close tomorrow (Friday) at noon but all necessary services will continue.
