Some Ruby Tuesday Trees Illegally Cut

CITATIONS ISSUED

Numerous trees were removed from around the Ruby Tuesday restaurant last week (presumably to increase visibility) in the Plantation Point shopping center owned by A. I. Corte Family Partnership LLC.

City horticulturist Jennifer Fidler said she issued citations for some that were cut on public property (right of way) totaling $4,000 (pine, hawthorne and magnolia); but that was being reviewed by City Attorney Wynne since some were apparently on state property.

Fidler said more citations may be forthcoming. As of today, all of the stumps have been ground down.

It will be interesting to see what the city does. if these trees were cut for more visibility and without permission then a hefty fine should be forthcoming. also, they should be made to plant back twice as many trees that were cut.

God forbid someone touch Ms. Fidler's trees. I agree with the second comment. You wouldn't even know half of those store fronts were there if you weren't a local. I don't blame Ruby Tuesday.

Well then, he must be guilty. Lock him up, no trial needed.

It looks like the trees were chewed off by one "Dr." Warner. It also appears that it of part of the"Clean Sweep 2012" plan to clear the city of trees. Stay tuned boys and girls for more fun in the village. Roll tide Roll..
