CITATIONS ISSUED
Numerous trees were removed from around the Ruby Tuesday restaurant last week (presumably to increase visibility) in the Plantation Point shopping center owned by A. I. Corte Family Partnership LLC.
City horticulturist Jennifer Fidler said she issued citations for some that were cut on public property (right of way) totaling $4,000 (pine, hawthorne and magnolia); but that was being reviewed by City Attorney Wynne since some were apparently on state property.
Fidler said more citations may be forthcoming. As of today, all of the stumps have been ground down.
